Finish the last minute prep, load up the car, and let’s get the summer rolling! This is shaping up to be a good event with a large group of HPDE, TT, Lightning and Thunder Cars. There should be a good showing of all groups, HPDE, TT, gib and small bore, so no matter what car you bring to the track, you will have someone to play with. I hope to see everyone there!

NASA Members,
Revkah and I sincerely apologize for the cancellation of the final weekend at High Plains. Unfortunately, the storm turned out to be more severe than anticipated.
Although it looks like the track would dry out for Sunday, we still felt that it would be best to hold off. As noted in my email signature, “Organization, Fun and Safety….” I didn’t feel that we could meet those and provide the quality that we demand by continuing with the event.
We’d like to get in the one last weekend that people were expecting and the forecast is looking good for the next week. HPR is not available next weekend, so we have arranged for PPIR.
1) If you had registered for HPR and would like to attend the 11/7 - 11/8 event at PPIR, you need to do nothing.
2) If you had registered for HPR and don’t want to or can’t attend PPIR - contact me for a full refund.
3) If you hadn’t registered, but would like to attend the 11/7 -11/8 weekend at PPIR I have reopened registration.

Due to the weather and our concern for the NASA family, this event is postponed/canceled.
Although the weekend weather looks good, getting there could be a problem and so in the interest of safety we are postponing.
We are trying to see if another date works, which is why we are saying postponed, but we may need to cancel if we can not get a workable date.
Stay tuned and we will keep you informed.

Great Pumpkin it’s the Season Finale at High Plains Raceway Oct 31st - Nov 1st
It’s Halloween Weekend at the track!!! If you’re not too scared, come on out for what promises to be a weekend with great racing and lots of signature track time. Regardless if you are HPDE, Time Trialer, Official or Racer we hope you’ll take a shot at winning the costume and/or pumpkin carving contest on Saturday evening.
Concerned about the weather? Looks like it is going to be cold but sunny both Saturday and Sunday, so bring a jacket, some antifreeze, and we’ll warm up the track!!

Also, this should get your heart pumping.

Don’t miss the return of Nostalgia Days! Were our cars will be featured and there will be both formula and production Nostalgia run groups.
The August PPIR event is less than two weeks away. This is going to be a great one! All of the free garages are gone, but there are still a few free RV spots available on a first come basis. The Saturday evening BBQ will be featuring entertainment from the Dick Frost Band. They do a great job with country and classic rock.
We’ve got nice long days planned with race groups for Thunder, Lightning, Blitz and BOTH Nostalgia race groups. Nostalgia Formula cars drivers – don’t miss PPIR!!!

“Season Opener” - High Plains Raceway - April 18th and 19th
It’s been a long road and an uphill battle, but the new High Plains Raceway is open for business!!! NASA is very pleased and honored to be one of the very first organizations to be able to use the facility, and will host the First Ever Vintage Race at HPR. If you have never driven tracks such as VIR, Sears Point, Road Atlanta, or Watkins Glen then this is your chance at understanding what “elevation change” means.
It’s time to pull off those car covers and shine up the paint, maybe buy a little race fuel and gear up for some history making, because this is going to be one fantastic event!!
Let’s make a real showing of vintage cars, and make this First Ever Vintage Race something really spectacular!

Well, the holidays seemed to have rushed by faster than a Mini on two wheels!! I hope everyone is finishing up their winter projects. Fortunately, you still have a few weeks before the season opener, so if you haven’t renewed/registered for 2009 now is the time!
Everyone that raced with us last year should have received a reminder email telling them when their medical expires and how to renew your license and membership. If you perchance deleted that email, you can follow the instructions below to renew your membership and competition license.
Also, if you haven’t already seen the schedule, NASA will be having an instructor/comp school March 28th at PPIR, which is closely followed by the April 18th-19th Season Opener at High Plains Raceway! This would be the second ever auto race at HPR, and the First ever Vintage Race! I encourage everyone to come and show your support in making this premier event something spectacular!

Check out the updated schedule for 2009, which looks to have two, yes two, High Plains Raceway dates! Follow the link on the top right-hand side of the page, or click here.
This could potentially mean that NASA would be the third club ever to inaugurate High Plains Raceway, not to mention potentially the first ever Vintage Race!

I have been tinkering with the site for several days now and it is pretty close to the way I want it. Hopefully this will improve the ease of use for registering and information about the upcoming 2009 season.
I have brought the gallery back online it is filled with some great ‘Nostalgic’ photos. However, I plan on putting in a nice big 2008 Season Highlights gallery, so be on the lookout for the next few days.
I also really want 2009 to be the season where Vintage cars make an awesome showing, so I will try to do whatever I can to make that a reality.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
